characteristics and traits of a graph

Domain- All the x values.
Range- All the y values.
End Behavior- Two end of an equation.
Absolute Max/Min- One point that is the Highest/Lowest on a graph (x,y).

Local Max/Min- More than one point than highest point.

Interval of increase- Section of a graph where the y-values are increasing/describe them in terms of the x-values.

Interval of decrease-  Section of a graph where the x-values are increasing/describe them in terms of the y-values.

X intercept- Where crosses x-axis.

Y intercept- Where crosses y-axis.

Symmetry- Based on even or odd.

Even- The graph is symmetrical over the y-axis.

Odd- The graph is symmetrical over the origin.

Neither- The graph is not symmetrical at all.

Asymptotes- imaginary line that the graph gets closer and closer to but never touches.
